Quarantined Dance

In the first week of really quarantining myself and having to figure out teaching dance online and watching all these ballet companies, theatre groups, and other performance outlets close their doors, my heart was heavy. Yes, I was hopeful for the online class options that the studios I work at were figuring out amongst other dancers posting online challenges, classes and videos, but the odd shift in the world was really felt by all dancers, dance teachers, and performers alike.

So this was my quick response I made to the situation. I was thinking of making some sort of dance video to post someplace when a gallery I follow released their daily prompt of dance, I knew I needed to make this idea that was swirling in my head. It took one day, and it was just me working with the camera, just me on the editing, and of course just me dancing.

Even if you aren’t a dancer, I hope it brings a little smile to your day!
